Several hundred representatives from European regions are active in the political and administrative centre of the European Union - Brussels. The purpose of opening these offices is to enable better and faster access to information, networking and "networking" with other European regions, as well as indirectly promote the interests of some regions in the European Union.

With the opening the Croatian Regions Office in Brussels in March 2007 in cooperation with the regional office of Styria, and by inviting all interested Croatian cities and counties in cooperate in joint activities, the Varazdin County Development Agency - Azra Ltd. provided a clear solution for the needs of Croatian local and regional authorities to be involved in the process of accession to the EU at an early stage.
