We are a public company formed and wholly owned by Varazdin County. We were established to ensure the optimal development of the Varazdin County in accordance with the nature and development priorities of the County. We are the promoter of the County at all levels, driving regional development and the main unit to attract funds from the EU, national and donor funds.

Through our work we cover the following sectors and activities:

• Agriculture
• Energy
• Strategic planning and strategic programming documents
• PCM
• Croatian Regions Office in Brussels
• Information and coordination of local government and the County of Varaždin
• Promotion Varaždin County
• Collaboration with the EU, ministries, regional and local institutions and Non- goverment organizacions to develop at a higher level (NUTS II regions)

Our business is aligned with the strategic development documents of the Varazdin County (Regional Operational Plan which have lapsed in 15. December, 2010. and The County Development Strategy of Varaždin County 2011.-2013. which entered into force on 15. December 2010.). Also, our business strategy follow Regional Development and it is in accordance with the Law of Regional Development.

Currently we employ 22 employees, mostly high and higher vocational education, of which one employee working in the Office of the Croatian regions in Brussels, while another 21 are deployed to operations within the scope of AZRA: Office of Energy Management, preparation and implementation of different radiation funds, strategic planning and strategic programming documents, training, IT support and administrative operations.
